Why should I become a Ctrip member?
Ctrip is a leading consolidator of hotel reservations, air ticketing and packaged tours in China. We offer online and offline reservations in more than 5000 highly rated hotels, all major domestic airlines in more than 45 cities and hundreds of domestic itinerary packages throughout China. Ctrip users can also enjoy discounted services and products from more than 3000 stores and service providers throughout China.

How do I become a Ctrip member?

Click Join today on the top right-hand corner of our home page to find the login information. Fill in your information to create a new account. The fields with a yellow background must be filled in and the white fields are optional.

How do I change my password?
Click on "My profile" on the home page and select "Edit" located at the bottom of your information. You will see "Modify password" on the first line. Select this option to create a new password.

How do I review or update my profile information?
Click on "My profile" on the home page to see your account information. Click "Edit" located towards the bottom of your information to update.

What is a Ctrip VIP card?
  • In order to obtain a Ctrip VIP card, a member must have accumulated at least 3000 Ctrip points.
  • Cardholders enjoy priority services when booking hotels, flights and packages.
  • Discounts are also available at more than 3000 stores around the country.

How do I get a Ctrip VIP card?
  • If you have obtained 3000 points or more, you are qualified to redeem them for a Ctrip VIP card. Please fax a copy of your passport/ID to the Customer Service Department, fax number: 86-21-52189126, and make sure you provide us with the following information: Ctrip card number/user ID; contact phone number; email address; your request for redeeming a Ctrip VIP card; address in Chinese; postcode; and the receiver's name.
  • After receiving your fax, we will send your card out within one week. We only can send VIP card to cities in mainland China.
  • You can also pay CNY365 to buy a Ctrip VIP card. If you choose to do so, visit our customer service department at 1F, Building 2, No.99 Fuquan Road, Shanghai.

What can I do with my Ctrip points?

Ctrip points can be used to redeem free flight tickets, hotel room nights, vacation packages and many more gifts provided by Ctrip. For a check list of redeemable gifts, please see our Chinese website here. An English version of the check list is currently in development and will be arriving soon.

How are Ctrip points accumulated?

As soon as you register as a Ctrip member, 1000 points will be automatically awarded to your account. Any hotel, flight or package bookings you make in the future with Ctrip will gain you points.

Basic points:
  Ctrip points you get:
Register as a Ctrip member 1000 Ctrip points
Hotel reservation =Reservation amount
Flight/Package reservation =Reservation amount /4
For different membership levels, points would be added as follows:
Golden membership By telephone =Basic points *1.5
Online =Basic points *2.5
Platinum membership By telephone =Basic points *2
Online =Basic points *3
Diamond membership By telephone =Basic points *2.5
Online =Basic points *3.5

How do I find out how many Ctrip points I have?
Click on the "My profile" tab at the top right-hand side of the home page and click on "My points". You will see the details of your points.

Do my Ctrip points ever expire?
  • Ctrip points are valid for 2 years. For example, if you checked into a hotel on December 2nd 2005 and received 800 Ctrip points, then on December 31st 2007 the 800 Ctrip points will expire.
  • Ctrip will send you a notice anytime you have points that will expire within the next three months.

How long after making a reservation are my points credited to my account?
After each completed reservation, Ctrip points will be added to your account within one week.

Click "My trip" on the home page to obtain access to your reservation lists.
